“Nicole and her team (Gladys, Maia, Stephan, Martin, Rose and the rest of the team as well as our phenomenal guides, Jimmy and Saimon) were outstanding! They treated us like family and we wish we could have stayed longer! We made new friends and we had the best education about the wild (including the habitat, animals, and birds) outside of a classroom one could want. We had the special experience of a bush dinner and visiting the Samburu people in their village and learning their ways of living. The Saruni Samburu property is luxurious and I would go back! Our experiences from enjoying breakfast by the river watching elephants bathe to sundowners in the bush to spotting all the Samburu special 5 are unforgettable!! The team pays attention to the details and we appreciate them!”

“Christine, Johnson, James, Nicole and the rest of the team were awesome! They looked after us and welcomed our request to eat a Kenyan meal one night! We were not disappointed! The property is luxurious, well appointed and we enjoyed watching elephants chomping down on acacia trees while we had dinner! We felt safe and enjoyed our drives with our wonderful guide, John, who was persistent in wanting us to enjoy the best experiences viewing wildlife and we did!! He is so knowledgeable and again learned so much about the conservancy, the people and the wildlife. I would return to Saruni Mara!”

“Great hotel! Enjoyed a great Sunday brunch with live music and local food. The breakfast was great with a good selection and spread. We were very comfortable and we rested well after a hectic few days. Our guide, Joseph, looked after us really well, and knew the right spots to do some local shopping and eating!!”

“Very comfortable, close to the airport (inside the airport complex) and served us well when our return flight was delayed by six hours. The Mahlatini team and our guide, Joseph, were awesome and we were able to return to the hotel and relax some instead of being stuck at the airport.”

“Gemma planned our itinerary from start to finish after fully understanding what I was looking for and it was superb! From the appropriate number of days at each property, the choice of property, checking in throughout the planning process and leading up to the trip to the logistics from the time we stepped off the plane at JKIA to when we had to return to JKIA including taking care of us despite flight delays (for flights were not booked by Mahlatini but by me) and everything in between. Gemma organized birthday surprises and the teams at both properties were wonderful, warm and made it a truly memorable birthday experience for my Mom and trip for us. We felt comfortable, safe and most of all we were looked after and treated very well. I wouldn’t change anything and I am grateful I chose Mahlatini to plan this truly memorable trip! Gemma is simply fantastic!!”
