“Unfortunately, we were there during the Mining Conference and the hotel had a very different feeling than it would have had it been any other time. The accommodations were lovely but it felt awkward having to walk through the crowded bar area to get to the pool. We probably would have preferred a smaller property - though admittedly the pool area and the view from the room were terrific.”

“The location of the hotel was great being on the main street in Franschhoek. The room was lovely and comfortable. There was a glitch however with our dinner reservations that was the fault of the staff.”

“Extraordinary property and service. Nico the General Manager was charming and very helpful. He made a big difference to our experience because he recommended a private plane transfer with all our heavy bags. It saved us from a 3-hour car ride. The game drives were great and the food was delicious. The staff was special. I would give this property 6 stars if I could. The rooms were amazing with great outdoor space with a view of the elephants bathing in the pond.”

“There are no words for this extraordinary property and the extraordinary accommodation. We have never been in a room, if you can even call it that, like this one. It had a full-size pool. So so special. Loved the beach area. And thanks to Steve for recommending the meal plan. It is a necessity because the food prices are insane.”

“Another amazing Four Seasons property. We were in a beachfront accommodation. We loved biking around the island, seeing the sea turtles and relaxing at the end of our wonderful 3 weeks.”
