“We booked a sea view room and the ground floor room we were given faced the sea but it was hardly a view. After requesting a move with the reception staff and getting nowhere we saw the manager who arranged for us to upgrade to a suite which was stunning (at extra cost). Because of the wooden high ceiling layout of the public areas of the hotel, (bar, restaurants, reception) there was no air con (only fans) and due to the exceptionally high humidity, spending too long in these areas became unpleasant and unbearable and we spent much longer in our air conditioned room than we otherwise may have”

“Superb service from start to finish. One point to note, in mauritius we had to go to a desk to get our driver to the hotel and should have had a voucher? We were told to expect a driver holding a sign. No problem, just to advise other guests what they need to do”
