Ann and Deryck Braun, 30th October 2016The choice of camps was excellent and the game viewing was outstanding. At Ruckomechi elephants in the camp are a daily occurrence -- right outside your tent! We even saw a group of lions kill a buffalo calf.

“It is a beautiful country with wonderful people and hopefully tourism will continue to pick up there. The people are so welcoming and the game viewing is truly amazing. After hearing all the dreadful stories about poaching of elephants it was a joy to see huge herds with lots of babies. The authorities have a zero tolerance approach to poachers which seems to be paying off.”

Little Makalolo Camp
“A small intimate camp in Hwange. Our guide, Dickson, really made the trip for us! We had amazing game sightings and even tracked down Zanda, the son of Cecil, the lion who was so shockingly shot by the American dentist. Lovely to see Zanda with his cubs.
The staff and food at Little Mak were both outstanding. They even went to the trouble to give us a 'dinner under the stars' one night to celebrate one of our party's birthday.”

“This camp has just had a stunning refurbishment to the guest tents and is now magnificent! Again, the staff and food were five star and our guide Mhondogo was exceptional. The elephants come into the camp every day to eat the pods from the Albida trees right outside the tents.”
