The Amakhala Game Reserve is an 18 000 acre private game park located in the malaria-free Eastern Cape of South Africa. The reserve is a 'Big 5' Reserve and hosts other animals such as cheetah, giraffe, zebra, wildebeest and plenty of antelope species.
Woodbury Tented Camp is a rustic, yet comfortable 3 star rated camp in the heart of the Amakhala Game Reserve. The 10 en-suite tents are on raised bases, each with its own private deck. The camp's center is an airy, thatch and canvas entertainment area where delicious traditional meals are served and from which you can enjoy spectacular views of the game-filled plains. At night you can share campfire tales under the expanse of the African star-filled sky.

Holiday to Amakhala Woodbury Tented Camp
The team at the camp were awesome. The Ranger really knew his stuff and clearly displayed a passion for his work. Getting so close to the game was incredible and we managed to get some sensational pictures. Definitely a once-in-a-lifetime experience and certainly one which we shall never forget.
We had our reservations about this plae but WOW what an experience.
Talk about being in the thick of it!!! I could see Giraffe from the 'terrace' we had and the tent was extremely comfortable - a Luxury Tent if such a thing were to exist. A really fun place to end on because it made the safari see…
