Ant's Nest is one of two properties on a private game reserve in the magnificent malaria-free Waterberg region of South Africa, just three hours' drive from Johannesburg Airport. One of the best child-friendly lodges in Africa, Ant's Nest offers a true 'home-from-home' experience.

Ant's Nest has six classic bedrooms in the original colonial homestead overlooking a waterhole and surrounded by the Waterberg's dramatic scenery. There are different room types from standard to deluxe family rooms. Rooms can be booked individually, or Ant's Nest can be booked exclusively, ideal for large families or special occasions. Expect delicious al-fresco dining and a vast variety of safari activities including horse riding, mountain biking, fishing, guided walks, game drives and children's activities.

The lodge's knowledgeable guides will accompany you on game-viewing experiences; tailoring the day around your needs with no fixed times. The atmosphere here is relaxed and friendly. The property is surrounded by open plains where horses, rhino and other game frequently graze within sight of your sun lounger.
