Set in an ancient acacia forest close to the rim of the Ngorongoro Crater, is the tented camp Lemala Ngorongoro. For those looking for a more private experience of the Crater and still wishing to be located on the rim itself this is the place to stay.
The camp has 9 spacious tents that are positioned carefully to provide privacy and with minimal impact on the pristine forest environment. The Crater can get chilly in the evenings so your queen-size bed has a winter weight duvet and hot water bottle. The roomy bathrooms contain a dressing area, flush toilet and a large safari-style shower. The mess tent is beautifully furnished with grand sofas, lamps, bookshelves and corner cabinets in old wood, chests and rugs. In the evening, you can gather around the campfire to exchange tales of the day's safari followed by a hearty meal.

Honeymoon to Lemala Ngorongoro
It was quite different of a stay but amazing nonetheless. The food was amazing here as well and once again the staff was great. It was nice to get out and go for a hike too.
