Found in the historic Stone Town on the Tanzanian island of Zanzibar, The Zanzibar Palace is a small boutique hotel, with a strong sense of good service and distinctive style. With a colorful character and beautiful handcrafted furniture, the hotel blends authentic Zanzibarian decor with various other influences, including Arabian, English and Indian. The hotel is independently owned and possesses a homely feel and warmth that encourages an immediate fondness, built around the hotel's antiqued finish and cozy ambiance.
The hotel offers only 9 rooms, all of which are elegantly appointed. Each of the rooms is decorated differently, with unique touches that make a stay here feel much more personal. Containing antique furniture, colorful materials, Persian rugs, and comfortable beds, rooms pervade an aura of simplicity and Zanzibar style. All rooms include air-conditioning and a ceiling fan for keeping cool from the sun and mosquito nets for keeping out unwanted guests.
The hotel's Palace Restaurant aims to please with delicious meals served up by the chef, with seafood a specialty. At the hotel spa, massages, facials, and other treatments can be enjoyed.

Please can you let people know they have the old style plugs so an adaptor would be needed, although they loaned us one when we asked.
