Cape Weligama is a luxury clifftop resort just a few miles from Weligama in southern Sri Lanka. It is perched high on a palm-dominated headland with panoramic ocean views enjoyed from your terrace, the 3 restaurants, and various lookouts from the several pools. Stone paths lead down to the sandy coves below. The resort’s suites and villas are laid out village-style with terracotta-tiled roofs, expansive outdoor verandas, and manicured tropical gardens.

All suites and villas have a contemporary design, verandas and bathrooms with walk-in steam showers and freestanding baths. They vary in location, size, privacy, and view, yet all are extremely spacious. There are 3 restaurants at Cape Weligama: Ocean Terrace, with gorgeous viewing and international fusion cuisine; Tableau, an intimate chef’s table restaurant and Surf Bar, serving sundowner cocktails, light bites, and high tea with a truly excellent Ceylon brew. For children over 12, there is the 60-metre crescent-shaped Moon Pool championing the most spectacular coastal views. There's also a separate family pool, a spa, and a watersports center, offering cycling trips, surfing, whale watching and diving. Galle's 17th-century fort (a regional highlight) is a 40 minute drive away.
