An African-style safari tented camp, Leopard Trails is situated in Sri Lanka’s Yala National Park, home to Asian elephants, leopards, mugger crocodiles and a host of other wildlife and birdlife. It’s an intimate, comfortable camp with friendly and professional game rangers and naturalists. The camp offers the romantic ambiance of a bygone British colonial era with its tents immersed in the sights and sounds of the wilderness.
There are 2 types of tents, the suites and the deluxe tents. The deluxe tents are air-conditioned with outdoor showers. The suites offer a little extra luxury with an indoor shower and more space. The pool suites have their own private pools, whilst the lake suites have the best views. The camp is centered around a modest tented lounge and dining area, leading out to a central campfire. Meals are simple and authentic and include Sri Lankan curries. Aside from the wildlife drives in the reserve, there are also guided bush walks, specialist bird tours, photography safaris and cruises on the lake.
