Discover Sitatunga Private Island Camp

Sitatunga Private Island Camp is set on a private island in the heart of the Okavango Delta, one of the few locations where you can still see the rare aquatic sitatunga antelope. The main activity here is boating for viewing not only sitatunga but elephants, crocodiles, and hippos. The camp is very 'Robinson Crusoe, desert island-ish' with each canvas and thatched suite set in the ebony trees. It is designed with a 'salvage' inspired reference, complete with giant basket shapes as a nod to the Bayei and other local Okavango fishing ancestries.

The camp has 2 double suites and the separate 2-bedroom Sitatunga Private Island Suite which comes with its own private guide and boat. All the suites have their own outdoor seating area and plunge pool. The rooms offer solar-powered air conditioning as well as mosquito netting on all tent sides and over the beds. Each ensuite bathroom features a copper bathtub, indoor shower, and double basins. Included is the complimentary use of a professional camera and lens set, as well as high-quality binoculars. The meals at camp are prepared by executive chefs and served both indoors and outdoors. Activities are completely flexible. Being a water-based activity camp, you will view the wildlife and birds from flat-bottomed motorised boats and mekoros (dug-out canoes) when the water levels allow. Other activities include guided walks, fishing, photography, and a scenic flight with champagne stop.
