Thonga Beach Lodge is a perfect luxury beach retreat. Based in the Greater St Lucia Wetlands area, a World Heritage site, the Lodge offers 50km of untouched coastline offering amazing opportunities for snorkeling and off-shore scuba diving. The lodge features a spa, dining area and lounge as well as two swimming pools.
There are 12 thatched, eco-sensitive rooms, with ocean or forest views, which all blend into the coastal forest canopy. All rooms are open-plan with a private bathroom and balcony. The honeymoon suite has a private pool.

It was really great. Some of the rooms could do with a bit of a refurb and for lunch, perhaps having a small a la carte menu would be great but these are personal preferences and we couldn't fault the service and staff.
Accommodations were great except they had some water problems. The lodge is so eco friendly with minimally impact on nature. The staff worked hard to correct them. Food, staff, service was all excellent. We of course, totally enjoyed the bar. Loved the whole adventure of eating outside for all me…
