A perfect blend of relaxation and thrilling discovery of some of the 'must sees' of Oman. Your first stop is the rugged Al Hajar mountains, reached by some extensive off-road driving, for 3 nights 'on top of the world' at the Anantara Jabal Al Akhdar.
Discover 400-year old Al Hamra village, visit Oman’s old capital, Nizwa with its ancient fort, and experience Jebel Shams - the Grand Canyon of Oman. Choose other thrilling activities of your choice too, from activity walls and a via ferrata snaking across the cliff edge, to zip lines and mountain biking. More adventure beckons at Wahiba Sands, a vast undulating sea of dunes up to 200 meters high. Spend a night here in the desert, trying your hand at soft dune bashing, spotting oryx or opt for a camel ride. Then it’s time to head back to Muscat, visiting enroute a dhow factory in Sur to see how these fascinating boats are still handcrafted using centuries-old techniques. At your luxurious hotel, Al Bandar at Shangri-La Barr Al Jissah, you'll have time to relax with plenty of pool and beach time. Two further guided tours are included, of Muscat as well as the coastal region. This is an Oman adventure not to be forgotten.
