Given the age restriction for gorilla and chimp tracking (minimum age of 15 years), this itinerary is best suited for families with older teens and young adults. It's a relatively short itinerary, allowing for a possible extension to perhaps Tanzania or Kenya. Light aircraft transfers at the start and end of the trip allows for the family to see much more in a shorter period of time, you will visit three of Uganda's most famous attractions; Kibale Forest National Park, Queen Elizabeth National Park and Bwindi National Park. First stop is Ndali Lodge which is near to Kibale Forest for your chimpanzee tracking. The guide will provide detailed explanations on not only primates, but also on all the forest's fauna and flora, ensuring that your walk is both informative and enjoyable. This walk is excellent for viewing bird life and primates in close quarters. After lunch, go for a walk in Bigodi - an eco-tourism swamp with rare and beautiful flora and fauna.
You will then journey on towards Queen Elizabeth National Park and stay at Kyambura Gorge Lodge. Here you will primarily enjoy game drives keeping a watch out for lion, elephant, cape buffalo, warthog, leopard, hyena, waterbuck, Ugandan Kob, and many more. There's also the opportunity to enjoy a unique boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel and into Lake Edward. This trip passes through high concentrations of hippos and a wide variety of animals may be seen drinking at the water's edge. You will also enjoy chimpanzee trekking at Kyambura Gorge. Besides chimpanzees, kyambura gorge is home to numerous primates which include baboons red-tailed monkeys, black and white Colubus, and Vervet monkeys among others. Kyambura gorge is also one of the birding spots in Queen Elizabeth National Park.

Catch your overnight flight from Philadelphia International Airport to Entebbe International
Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport you will be met by a member of the Mahlatini team who will assist you onto your light aircraft for Kasese Airstrip. On arrival you will be met by your private driver who will transfer you to your lodge.
Today you will be transferred to your lodge in the Queen Elizabeth National Park, following the mystical Rwenzori Mountain Range most of the journey.
Today you will head out to Bwindi via the Ishasha sector of the Queen Elizabeth National Park to your lodge.
Today you will be transferred back to the Kasese airstrip for your onward flight via light aircraft to Entebbe International Airport. Here you will connect with your onward flight home.
