This adventurous safari is for nature-lovers who want a full exploration of some of the country's protected areas, offering the rarest and most fascinating fauna and flora. All along the journey the landscapes change from rainforests and vast rolling plains interspersed with rock formations, to spiny forests, avenues of baobabs and Madagascar's famous Tsingy (needle-like rock formations). The parks are generally explored on day and night walks. Whilst lemurs are the focus of most trips to Madagascar, and you will see many species, there are thousands of orchid species on the island; incredible endemic bird species including the rarest endemic, Appert's greenbul; Pachypodium plants and many other mammals, reptiles and amphibians. This staggering biodiversity will offer up many photographic opportunities.
