Day 1: Catch your overnight flight from JFK to Johannesburg OR Tambo International
Day 2:

On arrival into Johannesburg you will be met and transferred to Pretoria Station where you will check in for your journey on the legendary Rovos Rail. On board the train your butler will help you settle into your luxury cabin prior to departure to your first overnight stop in Koster, situated between the Limpopo and Orange Rivers.

Day 3:

After breakfast this morning, you'll have a choice between a round of golf at Lost City or the Gary Player Country Club. Alternatively if you're not in the mood for golf you can take part in a game drive at the Pilansberg Game Reserve famous for the Big 5 as well as a plethora of flora and fauna. Following your morning excursions you'll be transferred to the Lost City for lunch and shopping.

Day 4:

Today you will have a full day at leisure on board the Rovos Rail. Immerse yourself in the luxury and ambiance of a bygone era, watch the landscape change as you chug through Ladysmith en-route to your overnight stop at Estcourt. Ladysmith made headlines at the end of the 19th Century as it was besieged for 118 days during the most crucial stage of the Anglo-Boer War.

Day 5:

After breakfast this morning golfers will be transferred to the 18 hole championship golf course at Champagne Sports Resorts. Non golfers will enjoy a professional tour of the battlefields with lunch at the Spionkop Lodge followed by some shopping!

Day 6:

After breakfast today you'll have a choice of a round of golf at the Durban Country Club or tour of Durban City. Following your tour you will be transferred to the Durban Country Club for lunch. After lunch you'll be transferred back to the Rovos Rail train.

Day 7:

Early to rise this morning as you prepare for a game drive at Hluhluwe Game Reserve. Enjoy sightings of elephant and rhino as well as the big cats and plenty of plains game. Following your game drive you'll return to the train for lunch and an afternoon of leisure on board.

Day 8:

This morning golfers get to enjoy a round of golf at the iconic Royal Swazi Sun Resort. The course meanders through the stunning Lebombo Mountain Range, making it one of the most scenic settings in the world. Alternatively you can enjoy a morning game drive at Mkhaya Reserve followed by shopping at the Ngwenya Glass Factory and the Guava Gallery.

Day 9:

After breakfast golfers will be transferred to Leopard Creek Golf Course. Gary Player was commissioned to design 'the best course in Africa'. Leopard Creek, built on the banks of the Crocodile River which forms the southern border of the Kruger National Park, is the stunning result. Non golfers will be taken on safari in the Kruger National Park, probably the best reserve in South Africa, you'll be enthralled by the exceptional game viewing opportunities. After your morning excursions you'll enjoy lunch and have time for shopping. Prior to being transferred to the train for your last night on board.
