In a setting inspired by Mauritian colonial architecture, the 5 star superior Heritage Le Telfair is truly exceptional. This sublime establishment is a member of the "Small Luxury Hotels of the World" and embodies the charm and romanticism of a colonial sugar plantation past. It opens out onto a magnificent tropical garden through which the Citronniers River flows.

Each of the rooms comes equipped with all manner of modern amenities, including air conditioning and celling fans to stay cool from the heat of the day as well as a flat screen satellite TV.
Attached to the resort is a championship 18-hole Heritage Golf Club golf course, and the Seven Colours Millesime Collection Spa is a haven of tranquillity. There are a range of restaurants to sample, sporting a variety of sensual cuisine and beautiful locations. Very confusing on the gourmet bliss, but once you get your head around it, then it's ok. Shame that a lot of food is not included. Free upgrade not given. Staff on the whole good but could be very poor at times. Good choice of restaurants, very expensive if not on gourmet bliss.Read full trip review

Brilliant. The service and the place were great. Our room and the view from it was excellent. Really good staff, and really clean. Every time we went back to our room it had been cleaned for us. We got a shock when we came home. The drinks were amazing. We had lots of cocktails. We would highly recommend the dolphin trip, it really was amazing swimming with around 40 wild dolphins. We felt like we were on a documentary. The spa at the hotel was also great. Really enjoyed the whole experience there. We would probably just want to go back in their summer so it was busier, and got the opportunity to go to C Bar there, as it looked like it would be an amazaing party / club, so sometimes just a bit quiet for us to due to the time of year.Read full trip review

Although the hotel was great, the explanation of the all inclusive package on our arrival was not as clear as it could have been. This view was echoed by other couples, so this could be passed onto the hotel as feedback.Read full trip review
