Discover Canyon Village

With distinctive Cape Dutch styling and surrounded by granite outcrops and cragged canyon scenery, Canyon Village is the perfect escape from the outside world. Located in Gondwana Canyon Park, only 20km away from the enormous Fish River Canyon, the lodge paints a traditional narrative on to an otherwise modern property, with various murals located above guests' beds and throughout the lodge, depicting stories of the Nama people, who once inhabited the area.

Canyon Village is medium size, possessing a total of 42 stone, thatch chalets, all of which are relatively simple in design but ultimately quite comfortable. Air conditioning challenges the Namibian heat and mesh windows and mosquito nets keep unwanted guests at bay. En suite bathrooms are also on offer, which are spacious and provide warm water. Room furnishings are basic with a wardrobe and a wooden chest along with bedside lamps. The main area of the lodge boasts pleasing high ceiling and white interiors, with a fireplace provided in the comfortable lounge to keep cosy in the cooler winter evenings. Enjoy the delicious food served up in the restaurant and take it easy in the bar or watch the shadows drag across the vast landscape from the cool of the lodge pool.
