South Africa
“It's a bit unfair, since our only encounter was the airport (very good) and the hotel (pretty modest) - and the drive there (where our driver hit a car and we spent half an hour on the side of the road with him arguing!)”
Malawi
“A beautiful (but very poor) country - amazing scenery, diversity of activities, and delightful people.”
Zambia
“Great game park (Flatdogs).”
Accommodation Visited
“Small rooms and bathrooms. Dark and pretty basic.”
“Outstanding - friendly oasis near to the centre of Blantyre. Great chef. Rooms good size and well appointed. Garden was lovely.”
“OK - but a bit dark and basic. A better choice for future reference would have been Likabula Lodge - which seemed to be fresher and brighter.”
“It's a bit hard to score a hut any more than a 1 - but we knew what were getting, and the guide/catering were excellent.”
“As above. The rather disappointing thing for Lichenya is that the mattresses were in terrible condition.”
Ku Chawe Inn
“Rooms clean and bright and well appointed - but the hotel is clearly government run and staff accordingly not very engaged. Food was buffet style and a bit disappointing”
Mvuu Camp
“Excellent. Wonderful lodges, food excellent and staff so attentive. Wish we'd had longer here! Game totally surpassed expectations.”
“Amazing location and this is a "high end" resort. That said, our rooms were pretty tired. They are building new ones, which will be great - but old ones in need of a refurb (eg old TVs didn't really work, rough bath tub etc). Food very good.”
“Similar to Ku Chawe Inn - could tell this was Government run. Rooms a bit tired (again they are building new ones which will be much better) and good fairly average. Great location on Lake.”

“Overall very good service - a complicated trip which was well put together to meet our needs. Some proactive suggestions (eg Mvuu). High quality detail and documentation which was very helpful. The only small area for improvement was some inconsistency in the itinerary between flights which said different routes, which I had to clarify at the last minute. Although a prompt response was received. Thank you so much. I would (and have already) recommend!”
