“Stuart was great in the lead-up to the holiday - very attentive and always very prompt in answering any questions. We also felt that he put together a truly excellent itinerary plan so that we could maximize our time in South Africa. However, some key tips for the future:
1. It was clear when we were working from the travel pack that was provided that it wasn't detailed enough i.e. it didn't set out what were the key sights at each location. You absolutely needed a travel book otherwise you would have missed out. Compare this with Abercrombie & Kent who provide a detailed travel pack itinerary.
2. The travel pack didn't tell us that we needed to be at a location at a specific time i.e. we almost missed out on a key battlefields tour as we arrived at the lodge after lunch.
3. It should have been made clear that we needed to book in advance certain trips such as Robyn Island and the climb up Table Mountain.
4. We found that we constantly needed to check the vouchers against the itinerary to see what was covered/not covered in terms of meals/drinks etc...again that should have been laid out in the itinerary.
Overall I would say that it was a terrific holiday, but let down by the itinerary which was provided not being comprehensive enough.”
