Honeymoon to Namibia
Andrew Isaacs, 31st August 2021This trip exceeded every expectation we had. Everything was perfectly organized for us from the lodges to the small aircraft and transfers, and the activities were also perfectly planned out without feeling like we were on a strict schedule.

“We fell in love with Namibia as soon as we arrived. The landscape, the wildlife, the people, the ambiance of it all was just incredible. We spent 2 weeks on a true Namibian adventure of a lifetime which was the perfect way to start our journey as husband and wife.”

Sossusvlei Desert Lodge
“Absolutely stunning. Our room was incredible, the views breathtaking, every activity was an adventure in itself (ATV, e-bike, sky ballooning, hiked big daddy, and hiked up to the cave to find the desert people's drawings). The people here were extremely attentive, kind, and welcoming. We left feeling like part of their family. This was the most magnificent start to our honeymoon. If 4 days in Sossusvlei was our entire honeymoon, we would agree that just that short time was the most magnificent vacation ever. We will certainly be exploring other andBeyond properties!

Strand Hotel Swakopmund
“Strand Hotel was nice. It was a great way to experience the coast of Namibia in a more classic way. The restaurants were all very convenient and delicious. The transfers to the different activities (kayaking with sea lions and camel ride) was also very easy thanks to the reception area of the hotel. We do wish the spa had additional times or we were advised to book prior to arriving as we wanted a couples massage but they were booked for the 2 days we were there.”
Damaraland Camp
“We had the honor of being the only guests to stay at Damaraland Camp for the 3 nights that we were there. The staff was over the top in welcoming us to their country. They were also so knowledgeable about the entire area. They went above and beyond to make every minute we were there feel so special. They gave us 3 beautiful dinners, all on surprise locations on the property where we really felt like royalty. Rhino tracking, running into hyena with a fresh kill, and tracking elephants for hours will be stories we tell our friends and family for years to come. This was another camp where we left feeling like part of the Damara family.

Ongava Lodge
“Ongava was wonderful. The food, viewing hide, private rooms, and game drives made the end of our trip extra special. The sundowners with white rhino just 30 feet from us was a memory we will never forget as well as abruptly stopping and seeing 2 male lions laying in the shade just next to our vehicle. On our last day, our flight was at 1pm but Bono made sure to give us one last game drive where we did 2 rhino walks! Everyone at Ongava was extremely knowledgeable about all happenings from the time we arrived to the moment we left.

The Elegant Guest House
“Matilda was great however there was no staff on site after 5pm which makes it extremely inconvenient if there are issues with the room or accessing the property.
Unfortunately coming back after dinner we were locked out of the hotel for an hour because the security guard was distracted. The TV and toilet were both broken. Not the ideal way to end an otherwise perfect honeymoon.”

“Nikki was great working with us as we needed to reschedule our honeymoon 3 times due to Covid. During the honeymoon there was not one issue and everything was very organized and run so smoothly. Upon arrival at the camps, Nikki had a bottle of champagne waiting for us to welcome us to our next destination! This was enjoyed to kickoff starting our next adventure of the trip. We had one issue when we arrived in Windhoek which we emailed Nikki for assistance and she replied within minutes to help out in any way she could.”
