“Service was amazing. Thoughtful welcome gifts that we kept with us the entire trip. The food, especially breakfast was amazing. The only downside is there wasn't much to do but we know this is a jumping off point after a long trip.”
Little Chem Chem
“The staff here were so friendly, so knowledgeable and we really enjoyed hanging out with them. The water pressure was awesome given that it is a tent and Dave loved the outdoor shower. At the time, we didn't really understand what it meant to be in a concession but after going to the national parks after, we realized how special it was to be able to get really close to the animals. Seeing the lions climb up the tree was a highlight from our trip!”
Entamanu Ngorongoro
“The hotel room decor was very cute and bright and fresh. The food was pretty good though Chem Chem was better. They were training some new employees and all of them had exceptional customer service skills. Having the Maasaai guides at the hotel was really cool. We got to sit with them over drinks and ask them questions, which we loved. I liked having a hangout area for drinks with other guests since it was more social.”
Singita Sabora Tented Camp
“Singita was by far our favorite property and concession. The room was decorate beautifully, one of if not the most beautiful hotel we have been to. The food and drinks were unbelievable- New York and LA quality in the middle of the Serengeti! We were so happy to have a gorgeous gym onsite as well. Service was 12/10 from the management, staff, and our guide Johnny. We did not want to leave.”
Mwiba Lodge
“If we hadn't just come from Singita, we would have said Mwiba was our number 1 despite not having a ton of wildlife. The cultural tours with the Datonga and Bushmen were out of this world. We had never seen anything like the Bushmen before. Food, spa, gym, and room were all top notch.”
Mnemba Island
“The actual decor of the room, lack of AC and quality of toiletries were just okay but this place made up for it with their amazing hospitality. We sat and talked to several guests and staff every night which we really enjoyed. The diving was unbelievable and the beach was the most beautiful beach I think we have ever been to. We also enjoyed the star gazing at night.”
Baraza Resort and Spa
“Given all the amazing hotels from our trip, Baraza was just okay. It was hard to get excited about the beach at Baraza after coming from Mnemba. The lunch and breakfast buffets were good but the dinners were not. The staff here were mostly friendly but it just lacked the same level of hospitality we got accustomed to. Part of it was that all the staff at the other hotels seemed happy but the staff at Baraza didn't.”

“Donna planned us the best honeymoon! There were some ups and downs with covid of course but Donna graciously worked through those and prevented us from having to deal with any major stress in regards to our honeymoon. This is our first time using Mahlatini/ working with Donna but it won't be our last! We hope that in the future Mahlatini expands into more countries!”
