Family holiday to Mauritius & South Africa
Anonymous, 20th July 2012We had two centre holiday of South Africa Safari and Mauritius beach resort (two adults with two teenagers). It was unforgettable holiday. In the first 4 nights, we went Thornybush game reserve (next to Kruger). We found big 5 easily and saw cheetah a couple of time.....very close to those animals sometimes within 2 meter. Warm hospitality and gorgeous food in lodge. Then we moved to Mauritius, not humid, comfortable temperature, sometimes we had shower...but much better than staying in UK in summer. We also had unforgettable experience of "walking with Lion". Overall, this combination of safari and beach suits us and this gave synergic effects to maximise our enjoyable time.

“We went only to Thornybush game reserve. It is excellent place for Safari for beginners. Food and wine are excellent.”

“Professional warm hospitality by hostess, very friendly staff, gorgeous food like French restaurant, keen ranger and trackers. I could not find any negative. This is small lodge, therefore, we could communicate and exchange information with other families . Feel at home, and definitely coming back in near future. This is better than big (maybe more sophisticated) game lodge.”
OR Tambo City Lodge
“Location is perfect (it is within Airport), easy to find to place to eat in Airport, but nothing to do. Shopping centre in airport is small.
Room is not so special, but clean and comfortable. Reception is efficient, and breakfast is gorgeous. Maybe best option for transit.”
Heritage Awali Golf & Spa Resort
“Very polite staff, gorgeous food, and clean accommodation. Spa is gorgeous. But need to update facility of sports. Only one Archery stand is broken, mountain bike is not really maintained. They have several addition restaurants within the resort in addition to communal restaurant. We can use it as free but fully booked in 5 days ahead. We could not book....if you stay two weeks, you can pop in all good restaurant, but you can not enjoy the resort fully in 5 days.”
