Honeymoon to Kenya & Tanzania
Isabella Escobar, 19th June 2022We recently went on our honeymoon to Kenya and Tanzania and made the right choice of choosing Mahlatini to help us plan our trip. We couldn’t have asked for a more fantastic time. The team was super responsive during the planning stages (taking all our thoughts into consideration) and during the trip, being ready to address any last minute issues. The team clearly has great relationships with partners in the area that were super flexible to accommodate all our needs.

Villa Rosa Kempinski Nairobi
“The hotel itself was really nice with a good spa to enjoy the day. The staff was extremely helpful and made us feel really happy - they received us with petals on the bed, which was a really nice touch. There was construction going on right outside the hotel, which although we couldn't feel once inside, did not provide for the best first impression. Also, the food options inside the hotel were not the best quality.”
Rivertrees Country Inn
“It was a really good stay for the night in Arusha. We really enjoyed the monkeys in the resort and being so close to the Arusha National Park to be able to do the guided hike. The service was really good and they coordinated the transfer of our extra bags, which were waiting for us at the Airport Planet Lodge when we arrived the last day. The resort itself felt somewhat older.”
Mila Tented Camp
“This was one of the best “glamping” experiences we could have wanted. The tents were amazing and the staff was the best group of individuals we have come across during our travels. They were extremely knowledgeable and flexible, providing superb recommendations based on what we wanted out of our experience but were always willing to accommodate to our needs. We will never forget how they even baked a cake for my birthday because “they wanted to celebrate with us before we left” even though my birthday was the following day. The food was outstanding and we could not believe they made everything onsite!”

“Loved the camp and the location. The staff were all super nice and made sure we always had everything we needed. It was amazing being in nature and were sad we were ultimately only able to stay at the camp for one night as we really enjoyed our stay there. Although everything here was amazing, night / morning in the resort was much colder than we could have imagined, so would recommend being upfront about it.”
Airport Planet Lodge
“This was a pretty good stay for the last day. Caroline was really helpful in booking us the activity to visit the hot springs during the day which made for an exciting and different last day in Tanzania. The food was not the highest quality, but this was a fantastic option for what we were looking, which was staying close to the airport to make our 8am flight.”

“Caroline went above and beyond in making sure our experience was the best one possible. Having worked with multiple travel agents, the difference was clear - she was super responsive throughout the process (even before receiving our first payment) and was accommodating to all our requests. She found the best resorts available in Serengeti to increase our chances of seeing the migration and organized the trip around it even though we booked only a few months in advance. Seeing the migration was a highlight for us so thank you for helping us with that! Caroline also provided really great recommendations on things to do in the different places we wanted to visit. The pre-trip call we had to help us organize and prepare for the trip was extremely helpful. We couldn't be happier with the level of service we received from Caroline.”
