Holiday to Tanzania & Kenya
Jim Harris, 18th June 2022I knew a little of what to expect as I had gone on safari in Kenya with our son about 23 years ago. Beth had heard our stories and wanted to go someday, but it was not a huge desire for her. Then we went this summer and she can't wait to go back! Me too... What more can we say? The people, the food, the landscape, the animals. It was all perfect!

“Dinner in the boma and the Maasai dancing was spectacular. The bats in the baobab tree were fabulous. Clay, the manager, went out of his way to help me with an issue I was having with my bank.”
The Plantation Lodge
“Quite unfriendly. Lovely grounds, buildings and food, but the staff was cold and distant. They charged us for drinks and laundry when that should have been included in our stay. Unfortunately, we had to contact you to help resolve that issue. The only place we stayed where we would never want to return to.”
Elewana Serengeti Migration Camp
“Alex, our guide, was super fantastic! The setting was marvelous and the game drives were stupendous. As with all the Elewana camps, the accommodations were top notch and the food was delicious. Best of all, after the Plantation Lodge, the staff were super friendly and we felt sad to leave.”
Elewana Elephant Pepper Camp
“As good as the Serengeti Migration Camp was, the Elephant Pepper Camp was just as good. A bit different, a little more rustic and most to our taste. The interaction with the Maasai people was fabulous. Our guide, Javon, was relatively young but since he grew up in the Mara, was so knowledgeable and attuned to the nuances of life there. One time he heard a group of monkeys chattering and went out of his way to check on them. It turned out that there was a leopard stalking around. It was the only leopard we saw on the trip. It was amazing!”
Breezes Beach Club & Spa
“This place was lovely and tranquil, a real respite from the early morning wake ups for the game drives and afternoon drives. It was lovely to go for walks by the sea, but they were often spoiled by locals trying to sell us things. I don't blame them but it was a rude awakening back to society and the disparities between wealthy and poorer countries.”

“Amazing! She always seemed to be available to us even though you are 6 hours ahead. I'd write to her late in the day and either get a reply almost immediately or first thing when I woke up. She seemed to understand our wants and needs and had to book, re-book and triple re-book our vacation due to covid. She never seemed cross or overwhelmed to us (although I'm sure she must have been at times) when we didn't follow through on something we had to do, or didn't understand the complexities of obtaining visas. We KNEW she had our back and we were genuinely grateful.”
