Holiday to South Africa & Seychelles
Amy Barnett, 17th December 2022Our trip to South Africa and the Seychelles was the perfect celebration of my husband’s milestone birthday. The two gorgeous and fascinating destinations, the amazing hotels we were able to experience, the wide array of scheduled and suggested activities, and the attention to detail and top-notch service that Steve and the rest of the Mahlathini team provided combined to make this the most epic and luxurious adventure that either of us has ever experienced. We’re so grateful we chose Mahlatini and are recommending the company to all of our friends!

Camissa House
“This may have been our favorite hotel. This jewel box of a boutique hotel, nestled in the hills against Table Mountain is an absolute treasure. Our light-filled room was romantic and stylish, and its all-glass view of Cape Town below was absolutely stunning. The food here is fabulous! Camissa House’s tea was one of our favorite mini meals of the whole trip!”
Londolozi Varty Camp
“Staying at Londolozi is a unique experience that is near impossible to describe. The stylish and sustainable network of luxurious open-air camps describes this incredible safari lodge. Every high-end detail of the room and common areas were designed so that guests could experience the beauty of the surrounding bush while being cradled in the lap of luxury. We watched giraffes, buffalo, and elephants cavorting directly in front of Varty Camp while we ate our delicious five-star meals. And the safari guides were extremely knowledgeable and personable.”
Carana Beach Hotel
“There are a lot of hotels to choose from on Mahe, and we were so grateful that we decided on Carana. It’s a perfect little boutique hotel right on a stunning horseshoe beach with terrific food and a laid-back vibe. I’m not sure what was more fun: lounging by the ocean in plush chairs while enjoying tasty cocktails or watching the sunset over the sparkling water from the private pool outside of our room.”
Le Domaine de L'Orangeraie
“This is the best hotel in La Digue! We were greeted in the chic lounge area with a fruity drink and a personalized welcome tour. Our romantic room was at the top of a hill with views of the lush greenery and quaint town. Both festive and family-friendly, this hotel managed to have something for everyone who visited. After a day of tooling around the gorgeous tiny island on our bike, it was a pleasure to return to Le Domaine de L’Orangeraie. Their New Year's Eve celebration was a blast!”
