Holiday to South Africa
Rosemarie Carey, 29th July 2023Overall, this trip exceeded our expectations. The people of South Africa are amazing! We loved each location for its culture, diversity, and experiences. We saw so much in a short period of time and even thought about spending more time at each destination because everything was so perfect! We will definitely return to South Africa in the future and will not hesitate to use and recommend Mahlatini again.

The Peech Boutique Hotel
“The staff at the Peech Hotel was exceptional. This was our first introduction to the people of Joburg and they were all so accommodating and friendly. The property itself was beautiful, with winding pathways lined with gorgeous flowers (despite it being the winter season), and our room was well-appointed and comfortable. We dined at the hotel one evening and the food & wine was fresh and delicious.”
One & Only Cape Town
“The One & Only was our home for four days during our visit to Cape Town. The room was exceptional with a large sitting area, tub, and we were able to sip wine on our large balcony as we watched the clouds roll in over a direct view of Table Mountain. The breakfast that was included every morning was fresh and plentiful with juices, meats, cheeses, curries, breads, and fresh fruit. While on the property, the staff was so accommodating and friendly with recommendations for the surrounding area. The location of the One & Only was within walking distance to the marina and all of the wonderful shops, bars, and restaurants in the V&A Waterfront.”
Boschendal
“We were greeted by the welcoming staff at Boschendal for a quick two-night stay. Our Orchard Cottage was top-notch, with many amenities such as a welcome basket, wine, fireplace, porch, and a large bathroom. We took advantage of the daily breakfast, a picnic lunch, horseback riding, and a wine tasting while on the property. One of the staff members was kind enough to show us around, taking us to the highest point on the property to take in the surrounding area. All of the food and wine were exceptional and we placed an order for a home delivery of the wine and cannot wait until it arrives!”
Chitwa Chitwa Private Game Lodge
“Upon our initial arrival to Chitwa Chitwa, we were greeted with smiles and overwhelming warmth. The game lodge itself is simply elegant and stunningly beautiful. We laughed about the quality and quantity of food that is expertly prepared daily - I think we were satiated for all four days and worked off our appetites with expertly run safari drives. Busi ran the property efficiently, Rexton and Ralph kept us safe in the safari vehicle, and Leah made sure our meals were perfect. Our individual accommodation looked out over the local watering hole where we saw crocs, hippos, elephants, impala, kudu, and Cape buffalo while sitting on our peaceful outdoor veranda. The staff even decorated our room one night with rose petals and candles to help celebrate our anniversary, which was so special.”

“From the initial call with Caroline to the follow-up documentation, and the customized itinerary, it was professional, timely, and allowed us to enjoy every minute of our anniversary trip. Caroline listened to what we wanted out of the adventure and exceeded our expectations. The presentation of our unique itinerary and the descriptions of each of the properties and experiences went above and beyond. The transfers that were arranged and the day trips with Randall from the Wilderness Company were exceptional. Claire Picknell even helped out with a slight change in our plans while Caroline was out of the office.”
