holiday to Kenya & Tanzania
Alexander Buckley, 30th September 2023It was a once-in-a-lifetime experience in an absolutely beautiful part of the world. We learned so much and saw so many amazing things, and we can’t wait to explore more. The &Beyond properties were all so different and extraordinary in their own way. Reflecting on our trip, we were able to see such amazing animals during our safari, and we felt so lucky to have such knowledgeable guides and staff to help us along the way. We also loved being able to learn from everybody who worked at the lodges about the properties and their culture, and how much they cared about sharing it with us. We had been looking forward to our honeymoon for so long, and this trip exceeded our expectations. We made enough memories to last a lifetime, but we hope to return and create more.

“It was fine for a layover. Clean and close to Wilson Airport for our next flight out. We enjoyed walking to Carnivore for dinner.”
Bateleur Camp
“This was the perfect first stop for us. The staff was absolutely incredible and thoughtful, surprising us multiple times with rose baths, and private dinners, and making each day special. Wilson was our guide - he should have his own safari TV show, we would watch it every day. Lazarus took care of us for all of our dining and made it a very memorable experience. We loved our drives, and being able to do a night drive was particularly special. Staff Shoutouts go to Wilson, our Guide, and Ralvin and Lazarus, our butlers.”
Grumeti Serengeti River Lodge
“The room and renovated lodge were absolutely stunning. We really enjoyed the food and we were able to eat outdoors with a live BBQ dinner. The staff coordination was not at the same level as Bateleur Camp and there were not enough binoculars for the guests. Here we experienced the best animal sightings. Staff Shoutouts go to Laurencia our Guide and Ali our Butler.”
Ngorongoro Crater Lodge
“The views and location of the lodge were spectacular. We had a great guide experience with Henry. JJ and the North Camp staff went above and beyond for us with multiple surprises including a private dinner in our room. Staff Shoutouts go to Henry our guide and all of the staff as well as JJ who took care of us.”
Mnemba Island
“This island was a much-needed, relaxing, and beautiful way to end our trip. It was pure bliss. The staff was impeccable. Jenn, the head chef, was so creative with her menus. We especially loved having a barbecue on the beach for our last night. Marina was very accommodating, and on our last day, we were able to enjoy breakfast and lunch before departing, and they also provided access to our room. Additionally, they sent us off with dinner. We truly enjoyed the snorkeling and water activities and used them every day. Pandu really stood out here as well, always having a cold drink ready for us at sunset and arranging a dhow ride for us. Special thanks to Pandu, our butler!”
