Honeymoon to South Africa
Mr Are Steffensen, 23rd October 2012I have nothing but superlatives to say about our honeymoon with Mahlatini. The itinerary suited us perfectly, Cape Town was great, Stellenbosch even better and Serondella Lodge (Thornybush) simply amazing. The honeymoon had a nice progression in that respect and definitely finished on a massive high. The rental car - which was required as the hotels were some distance from the city/town centers - also gave us freedom to travel around and visit places we otherwise wouldn't. For the safari we were picked up by courteous drivers both to/from the airport, but the travel time from Nelspruit Kruger airport was about 3 hours. A very minor detail, but I feel this could maybe have been informed about beforehand. Some of the others at the Lodge were flying in/out from Hoedspruit airport, which is much closer (45 mins), not sure if that's an option from Cape Town, but perhaps something to check...

Our room was big, had everything we needed, the ensuite had a great walk in shower and huge bathtub. Everything was spotless & clean. Although not near the Waterfront, the surrounding area was great with many good restaurants nearby.”
