Adventure Holiday to South Africa & Zimbabwe
Karen Maguire & Paul Proudfoot, 27th October 2023We had a great time and everything was fantastic.
Accommodation Visited
The Plettenberg
“A really great hotel and the staff were fabulous.”
Views Boutique Hotel and Spa
“A really nice hotel but felt a bit corporate and not homely.”
Avondrood Guest House
“This was our favourite place along the Garden/Winelands Route. It was very much our style and the staff were really personable.”
Spier Hotel
“Again this has been marked down as it was not our kind of place, it was too big and corporate. The room was enormous and just felt like overkill for a 2-day stay.”
The Clarendon Fresnaye
“A nice boutique hotel with great staff.”
Chitwa Chitwa Private Game Lodge
“Amazing - really luxurious and the game drives were unforgettable. Again the staff was fantastic and we have come away with really great memories.”
Old Drift Lodge
“We just loved this place, it felt really wild and you did not know what you were going to bump into when you came out of your room. All the staff were great but Jeremiah our guide was the stand-out star. He was really knowledgeable and you could tell he really loved what he was doing. The river cruise was a great experience and again it all felt very decadent. We met some fantastic people who we have been able to share this amazing experience.”
Staff Review
“Claire was a star. She has made me change my mind about using travel agents. She literally pulled the rabbit out of the hat a few days before lockdown when we were originally planning on going on this trip, which would have been next to impossible if we had been arranging this ourselves.
Everything was really well organised and she was a great help with advising us on things to do and where to eat. We spoke to a number of people on the trip who have used Mahlatini and the feedback was always very positive. So they are definitely doing the right thing.
I want to personally thank Claire for organising what truly was a trip of a lifetime and an unforgettable 3 weeks.”
