I prepared for the worst but was pleasantly surprised by the level of customer service they provided before and throughout the trip. Clearly, they are people who care that everything goes right.

“Probably the best option in Victoria Falls due to how beautiful the hotel is and the location. We were able to walk to many places. We saw other hotels that are more beautiful, but given how far away they are from the little town, I prefer Ilala.”
Protea Hotel Entebbe Resort

Mahogany Springs Safari Lodge
“I understand we are in the middle of nowhere, and the hotel itself is nice; the staff is very friendly and caring. However, the food and ambiance could be better. It would be nice to have some type of lounge or relaxed music playing in the main house, especially during dinner, so it's not too quiet.”
Hamerkop House by Lemala
“Loved it, even though we only stayed a handful of hours. Not sure about the location, since you have to take some dirt roads for 30-40 minutes, but I think it was very close to our original airstrip so then it's fine. The staff was super friendly and the food was delicious. The house is beautiful, we wished we could've stayed longer.”

“Fantastic experience. Our guide Semil was amazing. He knew the area very well and we shared laughs throughout the safari. The tented camp is great, maybe the shower experience can be better. The staff was very friendly. The food is an area for improvement as well as carrying more premium brands of liquor.”
