Anonymous, 21st December 2023A fantastic trip, beyond expectations. Loved the scenery, the outdoors, and the diversity of places. And we met nice people! The kids were very enthusiastic and loved it, which contributed to making it smooth and enjoyable for all :-) All the properties were perfect, the itinerary worked really well and the drive was very smooth (we had no problem with the car, parking, etc).

“Nice location, nice set up, good food and very helpful staff. Rooms a little on the small side (and not an ideal set up in the room - there was furniture in the way of the bed/bathroom).”
Franschhoek Country House & Villas
“Good location, and fantastic rooms, perfect for our family. Good food (but portions are way too big, especially for the Christmas dinner). The staff was lovely but moderately helpful with activities.”
Surval Boutique Olive Estate
“Great location - an amazing place, really! Very large bedrooms (but not an ideal setup for a family with young kids due to very steep metallic stairs leading to the kids' bedroom). The food is good, but the service is very slow.”

“Loved the cottage! Very nice location. It was perfect also because when we were in Knysna the weather was average (with wind and rain) and we enjoyed having a large space to hang out.”

“Very nice staff, and large rooms. We had a super ranger who did all he could to find the animals we wanted to see. Food is good (though very large portions and not kid friendly - we asked for simple pasta at one point, but it would be good if they have a few smaller simpler dishes suitable for kids).”

“Fantastic recommendations from Natasha, both in terms of the itinerary (quite classic I think, but at the same time, it worked very well in terms of traveling time between the places, diversity of places, and overall convenience/practicality) and in terms of accommodation. Natasha seems to know the properties very well and has been able to make several good suggestions based on our evolving brief. She found a good combination, with each property having a unique character and fitting our needs as a family very well. Natasha has also been very helpful in adapting the plans to our changing dates while also assisting us in finding the right plane tickets. We felt we could ask anything about the trip and would receive some advice.
One thing we would have found helpful is to have had more information about activities in the different places and tips to optimize (such as: better done with a guide or go via that route because the scenery is better, or beware as everything will be closed on Christmas day, etc.), as we found that the hotel staff were not very knowledgeable, and we relied a lot on internet searches to decide what to do and how”
