Anonymous, 2nd November 2023This was truly the trip of our lifetimes. It has been 6 months since we returned and we still think of the trip daily. Mahlatini was nothing short of exceptional; every detail was planned in advance and proceeded without a hitch. There were many transfers and numerous logistical solutions that were required and not a single time did we need to be concerned about things being handled. We couldn’t be happier with the trip!

“The staff members were so kind and the food was excellent. It would be helpful to note to other travelers that the hotel provides gaiters for the gorilla trek! We purchased our own and didn’t need to use them.”
Cloud 9 Boutique Hotel and Spa
“There were at least two cockroaches in our room. The front desk staff didn’t seem too concerned, but it was a bit off-putting. Breakfast was good and the location was great with an awesome rooftop deck. We did unfortunately lose a few pairs of socks with their paid laundry service, which they also didn’t seem too concerned about.”
Avondrood Guest House
“Amazing! The staff and breakfast were both excellent. The accommodation was incredible. The Mountain View suite is unreal. We absolutely loved our time here, and I think this was my personal favorite of all of the accommodations on our trip.”
Ngala Safari Lodge
“We still think about our time at Ngala every single day. The entire staff went above and beyond, and the elephants at the pool were the highlight of the trip.
Just a note that the tipping guidelines provided by Mahlatini were different from the recommendations given by Ngala. We didn’t have enough cash for our full tip based on the Ngala guidelines, but did based on Mahlatini’s. Overall, Ngala was exceptional in every way. The staff is so welcoming, the food is nothing short of amazing, and the guides and safari experience are second to none. Nowhere else in the world can you see white lions with such frequency and accessibility. Would recommend it to anyone!”
