Situated in Afro-alpine forests near to Rwanda's Volcanoes National Park, Bisate Lodge offers ultra-luxury accommodation and service as well as spectacular views of the volcanic peaks of Bisoke, Karisimbi and Mikeno. The lodge provides easy access to the Park Headquarters from where the once-in-a-lifetime gorilla treks depart daily, and has a strong conservation and community focus.
Inspired by the King's Palace at Butare, the lodge features six luxurious en-suite forest villas in the shape of thatched pods, each featuring ensuite facilities, a large day bed, fireplace, and exquisite views across your private deck towards Mount Bisoke. Keen photographers will especially enjoy the complimentary Olympus photographic equipment.
Whilst the gorillas are the focus of any stay here, the park is also home to a host of other wildlife and birdlife including the golden monkey, black-fronted duiker, buffalo, elephant, tree hyrax and many more. You will be encouraged to participate in Bisate's biodiversity conservation efforts, as well as engage and meet the local community, and are guaranteed to leave with a greater knowledge of how to make a positive impact on the critically endangered mountain gorilla.
