The malaria-free Shamwari Private Game Reserve in the Eastern Cape is home to the Big 5 - elephant, rhino, buffalo, lion, and leopard - as well as a host of other wildlife, which you will see on thrilling game drives. Luxury safari accommodation is offered in 7 individual 5-star lodges and 1 explorer camp including Sindile, a tented camp with 9 luxury free-standing tents with their own private heated plunge pools.

Sindile blends in with the surrounding bush whilst providing excellent vantages from the Bushman’s River and surrounding plains. The tents are elevated above the surrounding bush, allowing uninhibited views. Each air-conditioned tent has luxury amenities, indoor and outdoor showers, and a lounge area. The private decks have a heated plunge pool and lounging area under a pergola. The dining area and bar area of the camp are situated to make the most of the views over the reserve, with focal points including a large harvest table and fire pit. For relaxing during activities there’s also a Relaxation Retreat. The dining experiences are truly memorable with top-class meals served in a variety of locations around the lodge and on the reserve.
