Despite its size, Sri Lanka boasts one of the world’s highest rates of unique biodiversity, with over 90 species of mammals, including the majestic leopard, Asian elephant, sloth bear and buffalo. With a total of 26 national parks, covering almost a tenth of the land mass, safari is worth including in any Sri Lankan journey.
