Nimali Camp is spread out across the base of a hill with acacia trees providing a stunning backdrop. The camp has 8 double tents with king-size or twin beds. Two of these tents are connected with an enclosed walkway. These are perfect for families or couples travelling together as this allows for easy access between the tents while maintaining complete privacy. Each tent has been cleverly styled to combine modern furnishings with the feeling of adventure from a bygone era. Much care has been made with each tent to ensure minimal impact on the environment. The tents are furnished with natural woods, lush Persian carpets and a richness of colours. They feature large, comfortable beds, fixed wooden doors and a private verandah. Each tent is spacious with plenty of room for a writing desk as well as a reading corner. Each en-suite bathroom has rain showers, vanity units with double basins and flush loo. The walls of the bathroom are fixed and there are wooden doors. Perfect for private dining and spa treatments, the wide verandahs with colonial planter chairs also provide an ideal setting to unwind and sip a chilled glass of wine whilst watching the sun set. On hot days and nights you can make use of the fans and open windows (with mesh) to allow the air to circulate freely. Other room features include: bathrobes & slippers; hair dryer; Gilchrist & Soames toiletries; solar torches; an electronic safe in each room; laundry service; solar power (with generator backup) and battery charging facilities.
The lounge and dining tents are wide open to make the very most of the breathtaking views of the Serengeti plains. They are furnished in such a way as to offer a cosy and relaxing area in which to read a book or look through your photos. With lanterns hanging from the branches of the large acacia trees in the camp, there's a magical ambience to the camp as the sun starts to set. Sip sundowner cocktails around open fire and share stories of the day's wildlife sightings with other guests. Follow this with a fire-lit meal under the stars and have the unforgettable experience of sleeping under canvas in the middle of this vast wilderness.
A stay at Nimali is all about immersing yourself in nature. The camp offers guided game drives but the wildlife will be all around the camp too. There's also the chance to enjoy one of the iconic experiences of Africa, a balloon safari. You will float gently over the Serengeti as the sun rises, watching wildlife and gliding over the endless plains. After the flight you will be served a hot bush breakfast. A private lunch can also be had in the bush, an unforgettable and magical experience. After all the activity spend your downtime at the camp getting yourself a spa treatment at Essence Spa.
