Discover Shumba Camp

Located in the Busanga Plains in the Kafue National Park, Shumba Camp stands in the center of this wildlife paradise, with its view stretching 360 degrees across the plains to the miombo woodland in the hazy distance. Perfectly situated within close proximity to permanent water and having access to nearby floodplains ensures that as the dry season progresses a full set of antelope moves onto the plains in front of the camp including red lechwe, puku, roan, wildebeest, zebra, buffalo and many more. These prove a big attraction for predators such as wild dog, cheetah and prides of lions, sometimes up to 20 strong.

6 spacious luxurious safari tents are all on raised platforms and provide spectacular views of the surrounding plains, best viewed from your own outdoor shower. The elevated dining area is designed to take in the spectacular vistas and awesome sunrises. Meals are taken here and are usually cooked on the fire in front of you to enhance the safari experience. Shumba places great emphasis on the 'guided' experience - being led by qualified, enthusiastic people with in-depth knowledge of the area and its wildlife.
