This stunning itinerary features the best of Botswana's magnificent Okavango Delta by splitting your time between two unique and contrasting experiences with a "dry camp" followed by a "wet camp". You start your journey at a dry camp where the focus is more on land based activities in particular day and night game drives followed by a wet camp where the focus is more on water based activities such as mekoro rides (traditional dug out canoes) and boating as well as walking.
At the dry camps you are more likely to encounter the bigger game such as elephants, lion and buffalo whereas on the boats and walking at the wet camps you are likely to experience a totally different range of animals unique to this watery wilderness such as the elusive Sitatunga, the Pels Fishing Owl and Slaty Egret. This creates a lovely well rounded experience which we really feel showcases the Okavango at its best.
