Start your safari experience early with a stay at the exclusive Giraffe Manor in Nairobi. Enjoy the great experience of sharing the grounds with Rothschild giraffes that will often appear at upstairs windows, curiously watching the goings on inside the hotel and will join you at the breakfast table. The 140 acre grounds are also home to families of warthog, bushbuck and other species of African mammals and birds, which makes it a great start to any trip to Kenya for guests of all ages. The manor house is based on a Scottish hunting lodge giving a beautiful colonial feel to your stay and making this historical and unique property all the more special.
The hotel's 10 rooms are split across the main house and the Garden Manor, with the same pervading sense of old world class and charm taking hold throughout. Giraffe interaction isn't quite as strong in the Garden Manor as in the main house, but the hint of contemporary decor against the more traditional styling in the luxury rooms, the fashionable use of skylights in the bathrooms and the presence of a large family suite, more than makes up for it. In the main house the two tier Karen Blixen room is a major attraction, again usually used for families, the room is very large and extremely comfortable. Naturally, giraffe interaction is the main reason for staying here, that aside the property is ideal for relaxing and an excellent place to stay before moving on to a safari.
Giraffe Manor is approximately 40 minutes' drive from the international airport and only 30 minutes from Wilson Airport.
There is plenty to do in the city of Nairobi such as visiting the giraffe centre, elephant sanctuary, the Karen Blixen museum and the Nairobi National Park.

Great experience as anticipated. Even without the giraffes, this is probably one of the best hotels we've stayed in. Attentive staff and brilliant food. We were lucky to be allocated one of only two rooms with a balcony.
Amazing. The money was so well worth it. We felt like royalty and almost felt like we were being treated too good, ha! The giraffe interactions were worth the money in themselves, but the accommodation, staff, service, etc just made it that much more worth it.
