Nestled in a wild olive grove in the game rich heart of the Mara North Conservancy, Kicheche Mara Camp is an unfenced and classic luxury bush camp with an intimate and relaxed feel. The modest and comfortable tents at Kicheche Mara Camp have been designed to impact little on the surrounding environment and animals often wander through the camp unabashed.
The central lounge of the camp is made up of spacious Nyati tents that house a library and an area ideal for relaxing. Most meals are taken alfresco, overlooking the plains, and the food is a combination of African and international dishes
The accommodation at Kicheche Mara Camp is in only 8 spacious, fully insect-proof Meru style tents. All the tents have cedar beds, linen, bedside tables, luggage racks and rugs. Bathrooms are en-suite and are equipped with a dresser, shower and flushing toilet and running water.
Access is from Mara North airstrip, a 20 minute game drive away. There are scheduled flights daily from Nairobi (1 hr. flight), Mombasa, Naivasha, Samburu and Nanyuki. By road: a 5 hour 30 minute drive from Nairobi.
Morning and evening game-viewing drives, escorted bush walks from the camp and trips to local Maasai villages and Aitong market.

Review of Kicheche Mara Camp
We loved this camp too. Again the accommodation was superb & the food fantastic. Here, as in the other camp, the staff were really great. Very friendly & welcoming & very professional. Nothing was too much trouble.
Particular praise goes to the guard who saw us to & from our tent in the evening. Helen was quite nervous he was so kind, talking & reassuring her.
On our last…
Fantastic, booking wedding there for 2014. Saw everything on safari and the guides/managers/rooms are spot on. The best trip we have ever been on and has a big space in our hearts. Just loved it!
