Mara Plains Camp is situated in Kenya's Olare Motorogi Private Conservancy, one of the most iconic wildlife destinations on the planet, with unrivalled access to more than 100,000 acres of exclusive land as well as the 375,000 hectare Masai Mara Reserve. Only four other camps operate in the Conservancy, guaranteeing an intensely private game viewing experience. As you arrive at the camp, you are greeted by sweeping views across the plains, punctuated by a single, flat-topped acacia tree, the quintessential horizon of East Africa.
Luxurious and intimate, Mara Plains camp comprises 5 guest suites, all elevated on high-rise decks for exceptional views, and each with their own private lounge, en-suite bathroom and copper bath reminiscent of old world safaris. In addition, a honeymoon suite, positioned on a peninsula island accessible via suspension bridge, offers newly-weds complete privacy, whilst families or small groups seeking an exceptional and exclusive 5 star safari experience will love the exquisitely furnished 2-bedroom Jahazi Suite which includes the services of its own private butler, chef, private game drive vehicle and guide. Each tent also offers a professional Canon camera and range of lenses for complimentary use.
This camp speaks to the intersection of cultures and as a meeting place to talk, share ideas and to share experiences. The camp's main area is also raised off of the ground and comprises two lounge areas and a dining room. In one of the lounges you can enjoy a good book with a small library provided while the chandelier and wood table of the dining room can make dinner a charming affair. It's worth noting though that such charm is easily overwhelmed by the chance to dine under the stars - nothing beats al fresco dining at night surrounded by the Mara plains.
Flights into the Ol Kiombo airfield or the Olare Motorogi Airstrip followed by a transfer to camp.
Day and night game drives, visits to a local village and balloon safaris (at an extra cost).

Review of Mara Plains Camp
It was a top class camp to stay at with friendly staff, tasty food and beautiful surroundings. We would like to mention our guide Steve who was very good and we saw 4 of Big Five.
The most comfortable and tastefully decorated tent on my entire trip. Food was far too spicy and made me incredibly sick. I could not eat dinner my second night at all. Holly and Ben were wonderful and saw that I had a tray with tea and toast in my room.
