andBeyond Kichwa Tembo Tented Camp is situated on a private concession on the western border of the Maasai Mara close to where Out of Africa's famous final scene was filmed. Comprised of spacious Hemingway-style safari tents, the camp offers fantastic views out across the wild Maasai Plains, with the Oloololo Escarpment in the background. Not only does Kichwa Tembo enjoy some of the best views in the Mara, but due to its location, you will also be privy to a more hidden side of the Mara by being able to take part in activities such as bushwalks and night drives which are not permitted in the national reserve.
Kichwa Tembo Tented Camp is a classical camp, offering 20 superior tents, 8 superior view tents and 12 classic tents. Each tent features en-suite bathrooms and a built-in daybed to watch game as it passes by. In addition to an inviting rim flow pool with views over the endless, game filled plains, the main area offers a spacious split level indoor/outdoor dining area thoughtfully designed around an interactive kitchen and vegetable garden, allowing you to witness the preparation of delicious meals from lodge garden right to your table.

This was a fantastic hotel/camp. From the minute we arrived we felt so welcomed. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. Food was delicious.
It was very quiet when we were there and so some evenings were plated dinners and not buffet. We found the portion sizes to be very large and felt bad…
INCREDIBLE place! Amazing service, food, tents, and game drives. Exactly the vibe we were looking for on our safari. We will remember this place forever, and will go out of our way to come back!
