Halali Camp
Halali Camp is a government run, large rest camp, strategically located between its sister camps Okaukuejo and Namutoni in Etosha National Park. Its a very popular choice for travellers for its superb location and value for money. In many ways Halali is like a small village - with its own chalets, restaurant, swimming pool, shop and fuel station - all linked by a small network of roads and footpaths. It is a government-run rest camp so don't expect too much personal attention here, for the most part you are left to your own devices to enjoy the amenities and floodlit waterhole right in the middle of the park.
The camp also hosts its own secluded, floodlit waterhole which is a short walk from the main camp. It has the benefit of allowing its guests to see a varied and abundant amount of wildlife throughout the day and into the night without being disturbed or distracted. Accommodation is provided in family chalets, two and four bed bush chalets and double rooms - all converted with large sliding doors to the outside to allow visitors to experience and benefit from the peace and tranquility of the natural surroundings. En-suite bathrooms, air-conditioning, tea/coffee making facilities, a mini-fridge and mosquito nets are standard in all the rooms. Other facilities include a restaurant, bar, shop, swimming pool, kiosk and camping facilities.
