With such a huge choice of islands, your holiday to Seychelles may raise an immediate question - which island to visit? Our answer... visit two or even three islands. The experienced staff here at Mahlatini will help tailor-make your luxury Seychelles holiday to the hotels where you wish to stay based on your tastes and budget. Read our Seychelles Islands guide for detailed info on the specific islands as well as our recent blog post guide to which Seychelles islands to visit.
Inter-island flights are the quickest way to travel between the main island of Mahé and Seychelles' second island, Praslin. From Praslin, connections can be made to ferries for onward travel toLa Digue Island. Inter-island flights also connect Mahé to some outer-islands, including Denis Private Island. These island flights give memorable aerial views along the way and make visiting two islands in a week relatively easy... and your Seychelles holiday experience even greater. Read more about island-hopping below.
Should you prefer to 'cruise' the inner islands of Seychelles aboard a catamaran or yacht, we can arrange this. We can also then extend your stay in Seychelles with our tailor-made 'Cruise & Stay' options which include the hotel(s) of your choice plus accommodation onboard a yacht. Various size of yacht or catamaran are available, mainly with crew, letting you cruise around the stunning coasts of Mahé, Praslin and La Digue. Please call us to discuss your requirements.
When planning a Seychelles island-hopping holiday, please note that all inter-island flights operate from Mahé; this means, for example, that if flying from Praslin to Denis, you must connect through Mahé. The islands of Praslin, Denis and Bird are served by daily flights from Mahé; La Digue is served with a frequent daily ferry service from Praslin; while the islands of Cerf, Sainte Anne and Enchanted Island Resort (all in the Sainte Anne National Marine Park) as well as Hilton Labriz on Silhouette Island, are all reached via the hotel's own boats from Mahé which we will book for you to tie in with your flights/transfer arrangements. The islands of North and Fregate are served by chartered helicopter. Please also note that it may be preferential to spend the first and/or last night of your Seychelles holiday on Mahé Island to allow connections with international flights.
Inter-island flights are operated by small aircraft, often with around 15 seats. Luggage space is restricted, and baggage allowance restricted to 10kgs or 15kgs per person on some flights; we therefore recommend you travel light, particularly to the outer islands. Excess baggage may, however, be left at the left luggage facility at the main airport on Mahé. Timetables can also vary due to weather conditions.
Whatever your preferred Seychelles island-hopping itinerary, please call our specialist team to discuss your requirements and let us tailor your perfect Seychelles holiday experience. And, don't forget, we can also arrange a huge choice of Safari & Seychelles twin-centre combinations. Plus, we can also tailor your Seychelles stay with a stopover in Dubai or Abu Dhabi. Just talk to our specialist team and let us know your requirements.
