The Michelangelo Hotel

Found on Nelson Mandela Square in Sandton, Johannesburg, The Michelangelo offers 218 rooms and 24 suites. This luxurious and comfortable accommodation is housed within a wash of Renaissance architecture and features as a very well-appointed member of the “Leading Hotels of the World” group. The hotel's surrounding area is alive with a wide variety of restaurants and shops, all within easy access.

The large and impressively designed main hall observes the same etiquette of grandeur as that found in the beautifully furnished rooms. There are a total of 7 room types, each of which possesses high speed WiFi. Perhaps the hotel's pinnacle of luxury living is its Presidential Suites. This accommodation option features all day butler service, a dining room for 8 people as well as a lounge and dressing room. The suite can also be expended, with an interlocking door to a Deluxe Suite.

The hotel provides guests with a wide variety of facilities, including two restaurants; the Il Ritrovo Lounge and Bar and the Piccolo Mondo. The former provides guests a relaxed ambience when dining, with the resident pianist providing a pleasant overture to your dining experience. Piccolo Mondo affords guests excellent wine and delicious cuisine, aiming to create its own culinary world for guests to explore. To relax the hotel spa is on offer along with a range of other facilities, including fitness and business centres, swimming pool and a baby sitting service.

Getting There

Around a 30 minute drive from Johannesburg International Airport (depending on traffic)and within walking distance of the Gautrain Train Station which has regular trains from the airport.

A wide range of nearby activities, including the Michelangelo Towers Mall and an array of restaurants. The hotel's many facilities are also on offer to entertain guests.
