First class! On safari, we saw so much of the natural habitat of so many beautiful animals! Camps, staff, food, comfort level and of course the guides could not be outdone. The Rovos Rail was fabulous with the food being outstanding! Again, the staff is the best!
It was absolutely perfect! I expected it to be incredible and somehow it was even better! Kitty truly listened to and understood our hopes for our honeymoon and was able to come up with the best scenario given our budgets and made it come together in such a perfect and non-stress-inducing way.
Shimungwe Lodge cannot be recommended enough, the staff was friendly, accommodating, and really made you feel at home. Lukan was the best safari guide in the entire reserve, he was always able to find the most incredible safari viewing and was extremely knowledgeable, he was able to focus on seeing…
The lodge was convenient for Hoedspruit airport. Facilities and standard of service were excellent. There was ready access to the safari area and wildlife also came into the adjacent river overlooked by the lodge giving a feel of being very close to nature.
We loved our stay here and the staff, food, game drives and hospitality were incredible. We were so surprised by the private dinner in our room on our last night - that was a really special touch.
