Ulagalla is an all-villa, eco-boutique hotel nestled in sprawling 58-acre grounds and centred around a 150-year-old manor house, rich with cultural heritage and historical significance. Ideally located in the heart of the Cultural Triangle, see Anuradhapura’s ancient ruins, and then return to the hotel to replenish. There are views at every turn of paddy fields, sparkling reservoirs, and untamed scrubland.

The 25 pool villas are their own sanctuary looking out over lush green paddy fields, the neighbouring jungle which teems with life, or a tranquil lake. They feature king-sized beds, cosy sofas, wooden floors, and spacious terraces to create an atmosphere of pure luxury and extravagance. You will be whisked between the swimming pool, dining areas, spa, and gym on golf buggies, or make use of the two bicycles per villa. Dine on Sri Lankan dishes and international fusion meals in the upper floor restaurant or enjoy destination dining poolside; in the rice paddies; on top of the observation platform (also a great place for sunset cocktails); on the helipad or in the privacy of your villa. From the hotel, you can enjoy cookery classes, archery, nature walks, horseriding, kayaking, or cycling to the local village.
