Immersed in the verdant scenery of Sri Lanka’s Golden Valley of tea, Ceylon Tea Trails comprises of 5 historic tea-planter bungalows scattered around picturesque Castlereagh Lake. Altogether there are 27 elegantly restored suites and villas. A stay here is like stepping back in time where you will enjoy afternoon tea, butler service and lawn croquet with a cold Pimm’s. Discover the intricate art of making tea, venture on walks and bike rides through the lakes and mountains or play a fun game of tennis.

Each of the 5 heritage-style planter residences features 3 room types: Luxury Rooms, Garden Suites, and Master Suites. The rooms all have four-poster beds, teak furniture, antique accessories, and claw-foot baths. The suites have a patio or garden. Each of the 5 houses features a swimming pool and comes with its own butler, chef, and manager. The houses are some distance apart, linked by walking and cycling trails. The bungalow chefs prepare Sri Lankan classics and Western fare enjoyed on the terrace, in the dining room, in your suite or in one of the summer houses in the garden. Afternoon tea is of course a given, with pots of tea brewed to perfection and accompanied by delicate sandwiches and cakes. You can also request picnics to take on excursions.
