Offering unbeatable views Ngorongoro Crater Lodge is consistently recognised as one if the world's most luxurious and elegant places to stay.The lodge consists of 3 adjacent camps with 30 Maasai-inspired suites perched on stilts on the rim of the Crater. Each camp has its own guest sitting and dining areas, as well as viewing decks. Each suite is adorned with graceful antiques, grand chandeliers and elegant African treasures. The bedroom, sitting room and ensuite bathroom boast floor-to-ceiling glass windows overlooking the magnificent Crater below. Personal butlers are on hand to cater for each guest's every need.

Getting There

The lodge is located approximately 170 km from Arusha, approximately 4 hour's drive and 40 minutes by air, with another 45 minutes transfer from the airstrip to the lodge.

Game drives, interpretive bush walks, Crater picnics and sundowners, Maasai cultural visits, visits to the Ngorongoro Crater, Olduvai Gorge and Shifting Sands.

The beauty of this lodge can not be overstated. It has incredible views of the Ngorongoro Crater below. The hospitality and atmosphere of the main dining area was just perfect. The rooms are gorgeous. The food was plentiful, presented beautifully and delicious. However, the rooms are very cold and we were shivering even with the fireplace on.
