Offering unbeatable views Ngorongoro Crater Lodge is consistently recognised as one if the world's most luxurious and elegant places to stay.The lodge consists of 3 adjacent camps with 30 Maasai-inspired suites perched on stilts on the rim of the Crater. Each camp has its own guest sitting and dining areas, as well as viewing decks. Each suite is adorned with graceful antiques, grand chandeliers and elegant African treasures. The bedroom, sitting room and ensuite bathroom boast floor-to-ceiling glass windows overlooking the magnificent Crater below. Personal butlers are on hand to cater for each guest's every need.

Getting There

The lodge is located approximately 170 km from Arusha, approximately 4 hour's drive and 40 minutes by air, with another 45 minutes transfer from the airstrip to the lodge.


Game drives, interpretive bush walks, Crater picnics and sundowners, Maasai cultural visits, visits to the Ngorongoro Crater, Olduvai Gorge and Shifting Sands.

Great property and room, great staff especially our Safari guide and butler. Would give mixed reviewed for the Maasai Village tour. On one hand, great to see and appreciate local culture and ways of life, on the other it was a relatively short tour and costly for the time there ($60 for 30 minutes or so) and while the experience certainly added to the trip and felt essential, it might…
